Welcome!

Finding a therapist you connect with can feel overwhelming, but it’s one of the most important steps you can take toward healing and personal growth.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Olaf College.

My clinical training includes counseling highly creative and gifted adolescents through the University of Kansas Counseling Laboratory for the Exploration of Optimal States, as well as providing therapy to college students during my practicum at Baker University. These experiences gave me the opportunity to work with individuals facing a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges.

My Approach

I take a person-centered approach to therapy, drawing from Humanistic and Psychodynamic theories while incorporating evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Because every person is unique, I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs, strengths, and goals.

Inspired by the work of Carl Rogers, I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you feel accepted, supported, and encouraged as we work together toward lasting growth. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship built on:

  • Respect for the inherent worth of every individual
  • Authenticity and genuine connection
  • Unconditional positive regard
  • Compassion without judgment
  • Hope and belief in each person’s capacity for growth

Areas of Focus

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety and depression. I also have experience helping clients navigate:

  • ADHD
  • Mood disorders
  • Relationship concerns
  • Identity and gender exploration
  • Life transitions and adjustment difficulties
  • Trauma
  • Domestic abuse and interpersonal violence
  • Sexual assault recovery
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Personality disorders
  • Substance use concerns
  • Suicidal ideation
  • Self-harm

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with a difficult life transition, or looking to better understand yourself, therapy can be a place to heal, grow, and build resilience. Whatever brings you to counseling, I look forward to working alongside you to help you achieve your goals and create a more fulfilling life.
