MRC Spreading Joy, Building Connections, and Supporting Mental Health!
MRC spreading mental health awareness and community kindness!…
MRC was delighted to be part of the October 2026 Spooktacular at the McCleskey East Cobb YMCA last Friday! We loved handing out candy and goodies to children and families, sharing smiles, and connecting with our wonderful community.
Participating in this event each year is a special tradition for us. It’s a wonderful opportunity to remind families that mental health matters, that asking for help is a sign of strength, and that support is always available.
Our new child therapist, Marissa Rodriguez, joined Bryon McDonald, our Clinical Director and Counselor, for the festivities. Marissa especially enjoyed meeting Savelle, a sweet shelter dog from Fulton County Animal Services (FACS), who happily soaked up all the love and pets from children and families!
Savelle is still looking for her forever home! She was such a sweetheart at the event and deserves a loving family of her own. If you or someone you know is looking to welcome a furry friend into your life, please take a moment to learn more about her:

Thank you to the McCleskey East Cobb YMCA for hosting such a wonderful community event and to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We’re grateful for every opportunity to connect, spread kindness, raise awareness, and make a difference—one conversation and one smile at a time!
