FALL 2019: TRAUMA SUPPORT GROUPS
The Trauma Support Group is a group facilitated by Laura Haines, Licensed Professional Counselor. Laura is a trained trauma therapist with State and National Certifications.
Are you struggling with your parents’ divorce? Is this affecting your performance at school and your everyday life? Are you depressed and have anxiety? Is your relationship with peers at school challenging? Is there conflict at home? Are you a victim of sexual assault?
The class is a safe and comfortable space for each teen to share struggles and to heal. The class is designed for 15 to 17 years old female teenagers dealing with various traumatic situations such as bullying, abuse, negative and traumatic events. Those negative events could range from friend betrayals, divorces to family conflicts.
Techniques to deal with trauma will be learned.This will also address the possible results of dealing with trauma such as anxiety, depression and PTSD. You will learn coping skills to manage emotions and start the healing process.
The class will take place at our MRC’s office located at 2850 Johnson Ferry Rd, suite 200. in Marietta, GA. The classes will be on Wednesdays from October 2nd to December 18th at 7 to 8 pm. The fee per class is $35.
