Scott Pennington
LPC: Licensed Professional Counselor

Scott hiking with Max“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change”  Carl Rogers

I am originally from Florida and moved to Atlanta during my previous career working for a Fortune 500 company. Since friends and family always came to me for comfort and advise over the years, I finally decided to go back to school and pursue a degree that would allow me to help people and make a difference in their lives. I earned a BS in Psychology and a Master in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

I have now practiced in the field of Psychology for almost 10 years and I stay in tune with the latest research and techniques. My extensive experience includes private practice with offices in East Cobb and West Cobb, as well as institutional care where I served as Case Manager for Ridgeview Institute in Smyrna, GA.

I undergo regular training to keep up with current techniques:

– Certified as a Prepare-Enrich and Level 2 Gottman Therapist, I assess couples’ relationships and define their strengths and weaknesses.

– Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) certified, I help realign one’s behavior with the individual’s core beliefs to reduce internal conflict or stress.

– I am also well versed in the Aggressive Replacement Therapy (ART) techniques.

I provide various techniques for managing stress, anxiety, depression, anger, abuse, and addictions.

I follow the Rogerian theory based on:

* Optimistic view of humanity

* Every individual has value

* Non-judgmental environment

* Genuineness

* Unconditional positive regard

I offer services to individuals, couples, families, teenagers, and children over 11 years old.

Mondays to Thursdays 10 am to 7 pm

Raven Jamison
LMSW: Licensed Master Social Worker

“Men are not disturbed by the things that happen, but by their opinion of the things that happen” Epictetus

Life will happen, how will you react? Our perception of situations that happen is key. We have to use our power to control our thoughts, feelings and emotions, and remember that we are larger than life.

My name is Raven and I am a Chicago native, residing in Atlanta for the past 7 years. My calling to serve others began academically by studying recreational therapy and earning a BS from Illinois State University, followed by completing graduate studies in social work at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Since then, I’ve used a strength-based approach to empower individuals and families while working within a variety of companies and systems such as Fresenius Medical Care, MHM Correctional Services, Department of Georgia Family & Child services, and the Bobby E. Wright Mental Health Center.

I’ve mastered therapeutic skills needed to counsel people with depression, PTSD, anger, anxiety, and abuse. I believe in using a wellness approach with focus on art, music, eco, and journal therapy. I also encourage Marsha Linehan’s theory of radical acceptance helping clients progress towards healing the mind, body, and heart.

I offer services to individuals, adults, teenagers, and children 9 years old and older.

Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm

Sundays 9 am to 2 pm
